Videngine vs
Synthesia

Synthesia puts an AI presenter in front of a script. Videngine turns pages, listings, products and rows of data into narrated, captioned videos of the thing itself. They overlap less than the search results suggest.

Videngine or Synthesia?

Choose Synthesia if your videos need a person on screen: training, onboarding, internal updates and multilingual explainers. Choose Videngine if you need a consistent video for every page, product, listing, article or row of data, built from the source’s own photos and details, without anyone writing or recording each one.

Deciding quickly. If the viewer needs to see a presenter, use Synthesia. If the viewer needs to see the product, the property or the page itself, use Videngine.

What each one is

Synthesia

Synthesia is a browser-based AI video platform built around avatars: AI presenters that read your script in more than 140 languages and voices. It’s aimed at training, HR, sales enablement and marketing teams, and it leans on enterprise credentials such as SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001. Videos start from one of its templates or from a script, and its AI Video Assistant can draft a one-to-five-minute video from a public link.

Videngine

Videngine is a programmatic video engine, built and run by Wall & Fifth. Give it a web page, a listing, a product, an article or a row of CSV or JSON data and it writes the script, applies your pronunciation and phrasing rules, records the narration, transcribes captions from that audio and renders the source’s own photos, or images you supply, into scene templates written as code, with your brand set once.

Narration is in English only, in a house voice, another synthetic voice or your own uploaded audio, with a per-brand lexicon so model, place and brand names are said correctly. Each video is reviewed in the studio before it goes out. There are no avatars and no generated footage. Videngine is launching soon; plans start at $79 a month.

What 250 videos a month costs

A retailer adding video to every new product, a publisher to every article or a dealer group to every listing might make 250 one-minute videos a month. Here’s what that looks like on each.

Synthesia
$514 a month

About 25,000 credits at roughly 100 a minute. The listed Pro tiers jump from 24,000 credits ($347) to 36,000 ($514), billed monthly.

Videngine Growth
$249 a month

250 finished videos, with the script, voice, captions and batch runs included. Re-renders of the same video are free.

Assumes 250 one-minute videos a month, monthly billing and list prices on 8 October 2026. Synthesia says yearly billing saves up to four months; its annual prices weren’t consistent across its own pages, so they’re left out.

Which should you choose?

Choose Synthesia if

  • Your videos need a presenter on screen
  • Training, onboarding or internal communications
  • Translation, dubbing and lip-sync across many languages
  • Exports to a learning platform
  • Enterprise security reviews, SSO and EU data residency

Choose Videngine if

  • Every page, product, listing or article should have its own video
  • The video should show the real item, from its own photos
  • Model names and specs must be pronounced and stated correctly
  • Someone signs off each video before it goes live
  • You want a price per finished video, not per credit

Questions

Is Videngine a Synthesia alternative?

For narrated videos made from pages, products, listings or data, yes. For presenter-led training or communications, no: Videngine has no avatars. If the subject of your video is the product, the property or the page rather than a person, Videngine is the closer fit.

Does Videngine have AI avatars?

No. Videngine shows the product, listing or page itself, from its own photos, with narration and captions. If you need a presenter on screen, Synthesia or another avatar tool is the right choice.

Which is cheaper for 250 videos a month?

At list prices on 8 October 2026, 250 one-minute videos need about 25,000 Synthesia credits, which falls in the 36,000-credit Pro tier at $514 a month. Videngine’s Growth plan covers 250 finished videos for $249 a month, with script, voice and captions included.

Can I use both?

Yes. An avatar tool suits a brand film or a training module. Videngine suits the per-page videos that change every day: one for each product, listing or article. They don’t compete for the same job.
